I hope no one will ever allow that happen. I was sceptical about Ledger, but I belived and trusted in Nolan and he didn't disappoint. But I'm pretty sick of this guy being everywhere now acting all the same and I don't belive he'd deliver a good Joker. No offence.

Someone unknown. Someone whose previous performances would not affect his acting, and didn't develop characteristic manerisms. Of course it depends on the films convention. But even cartoonish Joker can't be any cliche, like batman tas with Mark Hammil has very nice balance between being children friendly and really scarry.

I'd go for someone with Daniel Day Lewis skills, and maybe Vincent Cassel appearence (but no such a huge names). But skills are more important here to me.

Oh yeah, the joker from Btas was perfect.
Daniel Day Lewis is an awesome choice, but i don't like Vincent cassel.
I think some good alternatives are james Franco ( like his acting a lot) , Joseph gordon levitt is skilled too. Adrien Brody would deliver an awesome joker to me. An one of my favorite actors; Jean Dujardin, that would be just wicked
